Samsung’s Galaxy S III is a remarkable smartphone. It’s arguably the only smartphone to achieve anywhere near the sort of consumer recognition and sales as Apple’s iconic iPhone. It's now been superseded by the brand-new Galaxy S 4 – however, the S III name lives on with the recently-introduced Galaxy S III Mini.

You could be forgiven for thinking, as I did, that the S III Mini would be a miniaturisation of the high-res, high-spec smartphone for which it was named. Seems a reasonable assumption, right? That’s not the case at all.

The S III boasts a 1.4GHz quad-core processor – at the time of its release, that gave it chart-topping performance. The Mini is far more sedate, with a 1GHz dual-core processor that delivers performance marginally below that of the outdated-but-still-available Galaxy S II.

Another of the S III’s headline features was a high resolution screen (306 pixels per inch) that competes with the iPhone’s 326 PPI ‘Retina’ display. The S III Mini can make no such claim: its four-inch screen has an uninspiring 480 x 800 resolution, which works out to 233 PPI. That’s just slightly sharper than the Galaxy S II and right on the average for the Mini’s size and price range. The screen uses Samsung’s Super AMOLED technology, which is bright enough to be viewed outdoors, and has great colour.

Slightly disappointing, given the existence of dual-carrier (42Mbit/sec 3G technology) and LTE/4G now available from Vodafone, the S III Mini has maximum 3G data speeds of 14.4Mbit/sec down, 5.76Mbit/sec up. Again, common for a phone at this price, but it’s not the sort of boundary-pushing tech I’d have hoped for in a Galaxy S III-branded device.

In software, at least, the S III Mini is up-to-date. It runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface overlay. The experience is very smooth – there’s no noticeable lag when moving through menu screens, launching or switching applications.

The S III’s two headline software features also made it onto the Mini: Samsung’s S Voice (a direct competitor to Apple’s Siri) and the Smart Stay technology that keeps the phone awake as long as you’re looking at it.

S Voice works just the same as it does on the S III – its performance depends entirely on how well it can understand your accent, which in my case was ‘not very much’. It’s pretty neat if it works for you, letting you issue voice directions such as ‘New event, Coffee with Alex, 11:00 AM tomorrow, for one and a half hours’ that inserts an event in your calendar.

Smart Stay is barely noticeable, but very, very useful. As someone who reads articles and sometimes even books on my phone, using a small font size which results in large pages of text, I’m used to my phone falling asleep while I’m still using it. Put on a short screen timeout, like Android’s minimum of 15 seconds, and the problem is even worse. Smart Stay keeps the phone awake as long as the front-facing camera can detect your eyes. It works well from most comfortable viewing angles, and didn’t have any trouble with my glasses.

Samsung has taken a leaf from Apple’s book. Just as the iPad Mini is based on the hardware of the iPad 2 rather than the third- or fourth-generation iPad with Retina Display, so the Galaxy S III Mini, rather than being a smaller S III, is really a mini Galaxy S II with the latest software.

The four-inch S III Mini is comfortable to hold, and offers the same stylish plastic body as the full-sized S III and the giant-sized Galaxy Note II. It also ships with the S III’s proprietary software, giving you the same user experience but without the chart-topping performance.

If you want Galaxy S III style, but find it just a bit too large or too expensive for your tastes, the Mini is a reasonable option.

Additionally, as of 2008, TX implemented a system which requires insurers to notify and provide electronic proof of auto insurance to the Department of Motor Vehicles and notify of any cancellations. This allows law enforcement officers to run the license plates of automobiles and determine whether the vehicle being operated is insured or not.
In addition to the the verification system, the state also raised the minimum limits of liability in April of 2008. Previously the car insurance in Texas required was a liability policy consisting of $20,000 for bodily injury to one person, $40,000 for bodily injury per accident and $15,000 for property damage and commonly abbreviated as 20/40/15. The current requirements are now 25/50/15 and are expected to increase further to 30/60/25 which may cause an increase in premiums. Fortunately, with some smart shopping individuals can keep the cost of coverage affordable.

Keeping Texas Auto Insurance Affordable

Just like most any consumer product, Texans have the best chance of finding the best deal by shopping around. Taking the time to compare multiple quotes from several companies can not only find a cheap rate, but also an insurer with good customer service, quality products and is financially stable. Although most individuals set out for the cheapest price, these other factors should not be overlooked. Fortunately, researching companies is free and only takes a little time. Finding cheaper rates can be done easily by obtaining and comparing the prices of various carriers and can be done quickly online.

There are a few valuable tips that can be taken into consideration that can cut the cost of premiums when looking for a policy. One such tip would be to consider not purchasing physical damage coverage on older vehicles; the cost of the premium combined with the deductible may not make sense financially if one were to file a claim. If an individual does need protection for physical damage, they can consider raising deductibles. In most cases the higher the deductible, the lower the premium. Also, ask for discounts when comparing. Some companies will offer a discount that others won’t and may end up providing significant savings.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Specs Revealed by Samsung Insider

Even though the details about Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date and specs are vague, it seems that the South Korea-based company wants to transform it’s next-gen phablet into a beast, with a mighty hardware configuration that would allow the device to provide flawless gaming experience where the 3GB of RAM and the full HD Super AMOLED display will be the starts.
With the Galaxy S4 model already on the market, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the hottest subject for the rumor mill. We’ve heard that the new Sammy handset will have an unbreakable 5.99-inch display, manufactured using a Super AMOLED panel built from flexible
materials that are rush and bend resistant. Of course, we are curious to see whether the protective layer applied over the display will have similar proprieties.
Quoting an anonymous trusted source, the guys at Sammobile have revealed most of the technical specifications of the model that will replace the Galaxy Note 2. Therefore we hear that instead of the 5.5-inch display fitted on the Galaxy Note 2, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will boast a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD resolution.

In order to keep up with the latest apps and games, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be underpinned by an Exynos 5 Octa chipset, with a hybrid octo-core configuration, based on a quad-core module with high-performance Cortex A15 cores and secondary quad-core module with battery-friendly Cortex A7 cores, fitted in big.LITTLE configuration and dynamically commuted depending on the processing requirements imposed by opened apps.
Unfortunately the clock speed of processor wasn’t mentioned, but we can expect the Galaxy Note 3 to have the Cortex A15 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, as this is the upper limit announced by Samsung for the Exynos 5 Octa chipset.

The games rendered at 1080p resolution will be animated  by an oco-core GPU, belonging to the Mali 450 MP8 series, helped by 3GB of RAM.
Compared to the the 8 megapixel sensor used by Galaxy Note 2, the 13 megapixel camera mounted on the back of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will represent an welcomed upgrade, meant to bring the camera performance of the new tablet to an acceptable level for 2013.

It seems that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean or Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, of course customized with the Touch Wiz Nature UX 2.0 user interface.
In terms of size, the Galaxy Note 3 will be just as big as the Galaxy Mega 5.8 model, while accommodating a slightly larger display and a slim frame, reminiscent of the Galaxy S4.

Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update For Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Rolled Out By Verizon

Good news for the Verizon subscribers who own a Galaxy Note 2 as the carrier has finally begun to roll out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update. Even though the difference won’t be that big as the Verizon Galaxy Note 2 was already running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the update will still come with a few additional features and improvements.
So, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will bring your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to build number JZO54K.I605VRAMC3 and baseband I605VRAMC3. The downloadable file is 246.5 MB in size, and can be installed OTA. Even though the file is not that big, you’ll still want to find a good Wi-Fi connection to downloaded faster. As always, we also recommend to charge your device before you start.
After you install the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update you will notice lots of improvements to the Samsung branded features, probably the most important being the Multi-Window function, which from now on will have support for more apps such as YouTube, Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon Kindle, Viewdini,

Google Maps and Talk.

The update will come with enhancements for other apps like SIS Mobile Wallet, VZ Navigator, Backup Assistant Plus, Exchange Active Sync (EAS) email, SMS and Wi-Fi connectivity. Also, it seems that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will remove the application called Zappos, which is usually pre-loaded.
Of course, there will also be various bug fixes and security patches that won’t be necessarily be noticed, as well as some minor enhancements to the Mobile Hotspot.
I don’t know why, but it seems that Verizon is taking its time when it comes to software update for its devices, and it will probably take a while until the owners of the Galaxy Note 2 will receive the update to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, as well. Some might say that it’s better late than never, but some of the users get tired of waiting and they often choose to root their handsets and install a custom ROM. If you remember, the bootloader of the Verizon Galaxy Note 2 was unlocked back in December 2012.
Now let’s hear it from the Verizon Galaxy Note 2 owners. Have you received the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update, or are you using a custom ROM already?

If you need cheap car insurance in Canada you should find a broker or agent that can find low cost alternatives. A broker or agent should be able to search the companies that sell car insurance in Canada and find a company that offers you the lowest rate relative to your driving record, the type, and the amount of coverage that you need.
For purposes of this article, the word "cheap" is being substituted for low cost or inexpensive car insurance. The reason for this is cheap insinuates you are looking for low quality auto insurance that more than likely is sold by an unscrupulous or unethical broker, or insurance company. There are plenty of websites that sell cheap auto insurance but you should be aware you are probably getting exactly what you pay for.

Find a Canadian Agent or Broker

The best way to get the best and lowest car insurance rates in Canada is to contact a broker or agent. This individual knows best the different companies available to provide you with the lowest cost of auto insurance based on your driving record and other factors used to determine rates. Because every situation is different, it is the job of the agent to work through the details and determine which companies can give you the best car insurance rates.

Determine What You Need for Car Insurance Coverage

If instead of working with an agent or broker you want to go it alone, you need to list the features that are important to you for a car insurance policy. Do this before performing any kind of search or making an inquiry about rates. Rank whether having coverage for your car or a vehicle you may be involved in an accident with is more or less important. Rather than having comprehensive coverage that also provides you with a rental vehicle or pays an agreed-value for the damaged vehicle. You will need to understand the pricing options and alternatives regarding decisions you do not make, such as taking a higher deductible to lower premiums.

Finding Low Cost Insurance in Canada

You can ask around different Canadian motorists to see what rates they are paying. Remember of course that the rate you may end up receiving for your car insurance can be higher or lower depending on your driving record. Keep this in mind when shopping for rates as well because car insurance companies tend to only provide information on the best they offer without regard to the particulars of your situation. This can result in being led to believe you will pay one rate for car insurance, when in fact you will be paying a much higher rate.

Most of us love a great bargain, but car insurance is not one of those things where the low dollar bid often wins out. It's helpful to compare cheap car insurance to other options that may cost a little more, in order to see which policy is really the better bargain. Here are some ways to do a quick car insurance rate comparison.

Does the Plan Offer Robust Liability Coverage?

All auto insurance plans have to include the minimum liability requirements set by the state where you registered the vehicle. The problem is that, mainly due to inflated health care costs, these limits often do not cover the entire cost of an accident. The state may require $30,000 in bodily insurance coverage, but if you are at fault in an accident where the victim sustains more than just minor injuries, the costs can balloon to well beyond $50,000. That's why many experts recommend choosing a $100,000 bodily injury limit. Your cheap auto insurance policy may only have a $30,000 limit, which will get you lower premiums, but not full coverage in some accident scenarios.

Does It Include Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage?

Most insurers are required to inform you about how this kind of coverage protects you if you are hit by an uninsured driver. Some states recommend this coverage, and some don't. Your cheaper auto insurance plan probably does not include this policy addition, but you may want it added on.

How Does My Cheap Auto Insurance Value My Vehicle?

Check to see if your cheaper auto insurance policy has any collision or comprehensive insurance. Minimum liability insurance does not cover any damage to your vehicle at all. In order to protect your investment in the car or truck you've bought, you need to select collision and comprehensive coverage, which will add more costs to your premium. You'll also want to see how the auto insurance company values your vehicle. Most of them use actual cash value or ACV. However, this may differ from the Kelley Blue Book value, so do a quick check and see if your cheaper insurance rates have to do with a downgrade to your vehicle's value, in which case the company will not want to pay out much if you wreck your car.

Does the Cheap Auto Insurance Take Safety Features into Account?

Another important consideration is whether or not the auto insurance company gave you credit for driving a car equipped with the newest safety and security features. If you have a car or truck with anti-lock brakes, additional airbags or any other safety features, you may be entitled to auto insurance savings. Check to see whether your plan has included specific endorsements that show how they discounted your insurance for safety features that are shown to prevent some kinds of accidents.
These are some of the main ways to compare auto insurance to see if your cheap auto insurance plan really measures up, or whether it's really a hollow bargain that may cost you more down the road.

How to Find a Cheap Car Insurance Rate

Risk
The best way to ensure you qualify for a cheap auto insurance rate is to present the most attractive risk to the insurance company. By avoiding high-end or modified cars and maintaining a good driving record, you'll able to get the best rate because you're not considered a high-risk driver. Take this step further by doing some research in respect to the safety and reliability of the vehicle you intend to insure. Those that rank highly in respect to safety and cost to repair will be seen as a better risk.

Manufacturer
To encourage the business of new customers, many vehicle manufacturers offer deals with the purchase of a new car. Occasionally, these offers include free car insurance coverage for a specified period, often 12 months. When purchasing a new car, check whether the dealership is in a position to offer a cheap auto insurance rate through a linked insurance company. Alternatively, they may be able to direct you to an insurance company they have a relationship with, where a discounted insurance rate can be obtained.
Comparison
By obtaining quotes from a range of different auto insurance companies, you will be in a position to compare them all to determine which offers the cheapest car insurance rate. Price comparison websites can be used to obtain several quotes at once. Ensure that the information provided to each insurer is the same to make a true comparison.
Broker
An auto insurance broker can be used to do all of the legwork it takes to find cheap auto insurance rates. After you provide them with all the relevant information, they will contact a variety of insurance companies to find bargain car insurance. Understanding your needs will enable them to concentrate on the insurers with the most relevant expertise in thoes particular areas. Opting for insurers that specialize in the type of coverage you need is the best way of finding the cheapest rate.
Make Use of Discounts
You have a lot of discounts available to you. In many cases, these are offered only when you qualify for the eligibility criteria. People with a spotless driving record for a few years can get "safe driver" discounts. A 10 to 15 percent discount can be obtained if any defensive driving training or instructional classes have been taken up by the driver. You can qualify for a better car insurance rate in cases that the vehicle has certain safety features, like restraint systems or air bags.
Use the Same Company for Numerous Policies
When you remain loyal to the insurance company, better rates are offered to you as compared to having your policies from different companies. Insuring your home, cars and other property using the same insurance company will bring your rates down on each policy.
Choose the Right Deductibles and Coverage Levels
The calculation of car insurance rates depends on a lot of varied factors, and you can greatly benefit by realizing your exact needs. While buying too much coverage is not wise, purchasing too little insurance is definitely a mistake. The level of coverage depends on the individual, as the situation for every driver is different. A $250 deductible could lead to more expensive car insurance premiums, as compared to a $500 deductible. In case you are not sure about the insurance coverage, consult an insurance professional, as this helps prevent unnecessary expenditure.

What Companies Offer the Best Cheap Auto Insuance Rates?

Generally, the car insurance companies that can afford to offer the lowest rates are huge corporations that operate over a large area. These companies have more total clients than smaller, local companies, so they can afford to make a little less money on each client.
Geico
This well established car insurance company offers very competitive rates to people anywhere in the United States. It is trusted and well reputed throughout the US as a responsible organization, and its services are very user-friendly and easy to use.
Allstate
Allstate is another well established car insurance company that is widely considered trustworthy and responsible. It specializes in cheap deals on the minimum legal requirement for car insurance.
Esurance
Esurance is run exclusively on the Internet, and it is also a great choice for you if you want cheap and reliable car insurance. This company is best known for its cheap deals for young drivers.

The Dangers of the Cheapest Auto Insurance Rates

The cheapest auto insurance rates can lead you into problems down the road. You may not be able to afford more car insurance, and that is why you are taking the cheapest rate you can find, which is understandable. However, if you drive a car a lot, the more coverage you can get, the better. Having the most coverage you can get can only help you in the case of an accident.

Basic Coverage
There is nothing wrong with buying basic insurance coverage. This coverage is often limited to liability. There are additional add-ons, like uninsured motorist, personal injury protection, collision and others. The more you can get the better, as each of these different insurance options have a purpose. For example, 1 in every 5 drivers is driving without insurance. If you get into an accident with someone without insurance, you will be forced to foot the repairs to your car and medical bills. Some states even require some form of this coverage. The one thing you definitely need is liability insurance. Every state requires some amount of insurance, but it is suggested that you have $100,000 dollars worth per person involved, so having approximately $300,000 in coverage is the average amount. That is a lot of coverage and will cost more than the cheap auto insurance you found.

Accidents
Accidents do happen. If you are involved in one, having cheap car insurance rates may only make it worse. The company likely won't want to help you much, and will make it tough for you to recover what you think you should recover. It is better to safe than sorry, and if there is one thing you do not want to skimp out on, it is auto insurance.

Umbrella Policy
Umbrella policies are great options when it comes to liability insurance. Since that is the most important thing you need, an umbrella policy is a great, cheap addition to your original policy. Umbrella policies cover anywhere between 1 and 5 million dollars worth of liability. The best part is the annual rates. Umbrella policies typically run between $200 and $400. That is a small price to pay when compared to the amount of coverage you get. For example, if you are deemed to be at fault in a large accident, you can have a possible lawsuit with several drivers involved suing you for their damages, distress, pain and suffering, etc. Having an umbrella policy can help pay out the potential hundreds of thousands, or even millions of dollars that they may win the event of a judgment.

Calculator for Secured Loans

SIMPLE AND SECURED LOAN CALCULATOR

Disclaimer: Secured loan calculator is based on certain assumptions, which may not come true in every case. It is advisable to consult your financial adviser before taking any decision. Buzzle disclaims any responsibility for any decisions taken by the user based on this calculator.
Getting a secured loan is possible by having a good credit score. The credit scores depend on your repayment history and you can view your credit score details by asking the concerned authorities to give you a detailed credit report. Proper financial planning and financial discipline can surely help to build a good credit score in the future. So, avoid taking loans beyond your capacity of repayment, and making excessive credit card usage to keep your scores intact and improve them.

Advantages of Secured Loans

First of all, getting secured loans is much easier than getting unsecured loans because of the simple reason that banks, and other private lenders, get a collateral against the loan granted to the borrowers. In case the borrower is not able to pay the monthly installments regularly, then the bank will have the right to sell off the collateral to recover it money. The secured loan rates are low and attractive because of this very reason. Mostly, home loans and car loans are secured loans and in this case, the car or home itself, is taken as collateral. Secured loans for people with bad credit are hard to get, yet if you approach your lenders with the right attitude and manner, you will surely be successful in getting them sanctioned.

Unsecured loans, on the other hand, do not require borrowers to place any collateral and hence, banks aim at gaining maximum profits by charging high rate of interests on such loans. You will find that these loans are always expensive, as compared to secured loans, in spite of attractive schemes by lenders. Unsecured loans may be very hard to get, in times of an economic recession or credit crunch.

By entering appropriate data, the calculator will give you the monthly payment to be made by you and also the total interest payment which you will be making at the end of the total period. These calculations will help you to understand whether the loan will be putting unnecessary stress on your finances or it is completely affordable for you. The secured loan rates, according to the industry experts are around two to five percent lesser than the rates charged by banks for sanctioning unsecured loans.

From the content given above, you must have understood that a secured loan is a better option than unsecured loan. When we take a secured loan, we pay monthly installments more seriously, as we have to protect our collateral or asset, under any circumstances. This timely payment improves our credit score and credit worthiness, in general. So, think over it and act smartly. All the

Why would a company want to purchase a structured settlement from a person receiving regular installments in compensation for a personal injury? The answer is clear: the company is guaranteed a steady, safe cash flow that is generally not taxable in return for a lump sum of money of about half the value of the full-term settlement. When companies buy a structured settlement they are always getting the better end of the deal, no matter how appealing the quick cash may seem to the seller. These companies are generally not out to make life better for injured persons, but instead are seeking to profit from those persons' pressing financial needs or eagerness to be free from what may seem to many like an allowance. This is why persons wishing to sell settlements need to be very, very careful about who they sell those settlements to.
First of all, exactly what are structured settlements and how do such arrangements work? When a person wins a lawsuit based on worker's compensation, personal injury, or medical malpractice, often the court will rule that compensation be paid in installments, either in small, regular amounts or a few lump sums over the years. Often, these payment plans will cease upon the death of the payee, whether or not there are dependents involved.

Before accepting a compromise, injured persons need to work closely with lawyers to ensure that the settlement is going to benefit them to the fullest possible extent in order to prevent future financial distress and the loss of well-deserved compensation. This careful planning will prevent the undesirable necessity of finding a company to purchase a structured settlement from its possessor when he finds that waiting for a monthly check isn't a tolerable system.

If, however, a person has already settled a legal case and finds that the periodic payment plan is not working for him or decides that larger amounts of money are needed immediately in order to purchase medical equipment, a customized vehicle or home to accommodate injuries, or similar items, or does not expect to live long enough to benefit from long-term compensation, may want to consult various companies that offer to buy a structured settlement. Such companies will allow him to sign over annuities in exchange for immediately accessible cash. Persons considering this option should know that while their annuities are not subject to taxation, the lump sum received from a third party may very well be, causing them to lose even more well-deserved money. This is a decision that requires long, hard thought and should not be entered in to hastily or lightly, as its consequences can be disappointing at best and catastrophic at worst. If a person is confident in his investing and money-handling skills, he might be able to pull off the sale of his annuities aptly, but this is not always the case.

In general, this option is a very bad investment decision, as it is possible to lose up to half of one's settlement money in the process. Plus, persons on a periodic payment are often unable to work and need the regular installments to meet their daily needs; if these payments cease and the person is unable to support himself by working due to injuries, his financial need will be much greater than before a company agreed to purchase a structured settlement from him. A Biblical proverb sums up this situation very well: "The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge" (Proverbs 14:18). This is a financial decision that could end in folly, especially if rushed into without sufficient forethought and good legal advice.

If a person is absolutely sure that finding a company to buy a structured settlement from him is the most viable option, there are a few ways to ensure that the owner receives the very best deal. First, he should compare quotes at different settlement companies to see which is going to give him the highest payoff with the fewest risks; many online companies allow customers to get a free quote over the Internet. Next, he should be sure that the chosen company has a good reputation for paying its customers in-full and on time and that it is well-funded, licensed, and insured so that it doesn't go bankrupt and leave him with nothing. After selecting a trustworthy company, the person should consult a lawyer to ensure that proceedings are in his favor and that the sum received in return for annuities is reasonable and fair; he may choose to sell the entire settlement or only a part of it--the latter, of course, is the best choice. By following these steps, selling one's settlement may be a safe, prudent, and beneficial option for a person in financial distress.

It is important to know that selling one's annuities is not always a possibility. About one-third of states have laws that do not allow businesses to purchase a structured settlement, and some insurance companies are not willing to transfer annuities to another entity. In this case, a person will have to find another solution for their financial needs besides selling. Persons who are unsure whether their state of residence restricts such sales should consult a lawyer for advice. For the other two-thirds of the country, however, finding a company to buy a structured settlement is a feasible, if not advisable, option--a last resort for the financially stressed, sure to offer immediately accessible funds in a very short time frame.
